Ok guys, I've set up a group rate at the Ramada Limited Carlisle.

Group rate is under NICO, and the price is as follows:

Thursday night $89.95Friday night $119.95Saturday night $119.95

We currently have 6 rooms reserved, however they said they (as of today, 2/25) have 17 rooms available. They are all non-smoking 2 queens.

I only reserved 6 rooms because I didn't want to get stuck with rooms that nobody checks into, but if they tell you the rooms are filled, let me know and I will add some more to the group rate.

Hotel Info:

Ramada Limited Carlisle1252 Harrisburg PikeI-81 Exit 52Carlisle, PA 17013 USPhone: 717-243-8585

I recommend making your reservations ASAP because these rooms will fill up very quickly. Once again, let me know if you have any problems reserving a room at this rate under NICO, and I will call to add more rooms (if available) to our group rate.

Could have been a different hotel, I don't remember where we stayed last year. But as for the price, I don't know, but I think it was in the same ballpark.

Hotels in Carlisle for that weekend are pricey because the whole city knows about the show. You may be able to find something a little cheaper on hotels.com or something, but not by a lot. I couldn't find anything under $100, and at least the Ramada should be a decent place.

I remember it being around the same last year. I think I'm going to check out some hotels a few exits down the road. I remember them being much much cheaper.

It's a 120 per person for one weekend night? I think I might just sleep in my car. Or not sleep.

It depends how many people you have in your room. If you do 4 to a room, 2 nights, that's only $60/person.

Nobody's forcing anyone to stay at the Ramada. I just set it for people if they want to stay at the same place as the Nico staff...which usually means good times. Where you stay is up to you though.

We're at the one right down the road, hopefully within walking distance cuz it says it's 0.41 miles down the road according to mapquest...but how reliable is that But i picked that hotel because i got a major discount....so much of a discount i don't think i wanna tell you guys how much i'm paying for 2 nights.

I need a room but don't have a credit card to make a reservation with and I pretty much just cash my check so I don't have a bank account at the moment to use a debit card. so if anyone needs a roommate I'll drop some cash towards the bill for the room and for any food or drinks you guys want to get, I'll see if I bring a case of beer for the cause.

Remind me as we get closer. You can have some space on the floor Saturday night dirt cheap. Bring a sleeping bag.

Cool thanks dude, don't need a sleeping bag, just a pillow and a blanket and I'm good. You got a 360 for some COD4 or RSV2 action Saturday night, I'll bring my headset and controller.

Dunno what we're going to do yet. Might bring out a 360 with Rockband so it's fast paced fun and switching up players and stuff. We'll figure something out when it gets closer.

I'll give you guys a hint... Down the road about 7 or 8 miles is a holiday inn, and it has a huge bar and deck inside. Modeled after the great Coyote Ugly, there are 4 of these bars around central PA and they only get the best bands around and the hottest women dancing on the bar. The deck is F**king huge!! lol

Anyway, they have a deal with the radio station on friday and saturday nights to give rooms for only $39.99 My band plays there all the time so I'll let you guys know by the end of the week if that deal will still be on by then. Nobody else that comes into town knows about this!! It's also a first come first serve thing, so I believe if you stop there on your way in and register you will be okay. Like I said, I will get you all the details by the end of the week, but talk about saving money and partying at the biggest club outside of harrisburg..

Anything for my NICO pals!!!

Okay, boy do I have a deal for you guys.. I got all the info from the holiday inn in Mechanicsburg which is on the same street as the ramada, just up further..

Friday and Saturday night they have rooms available on a first come first serve basis. They are only $39.99 per night. NOW... normally this is a contract held by the night club that connects to the holiday inn, but because my band plays there every month AND I know a few people over there, you can check in at 4:00. These rooms don't fill up until later when the night club opens which is 9pm. The deck is open at 6pm. For regular every day people, (not us special NICO people), you have to pay to get into the club, get your hand stamped, and then go get your room.. They are allowing me and all of you to check in at 4 before the bar opens and all rooms will be available.

Now, if you would like to be gauranteed a room, we can get a group rate as long as we book 10 rooms at a minumum. The group rate would only be $99 per night, not $119 like the ramada. There are also indoor and outdoor pools if you want to do some swimming.. hehe *wink*

This would also be a great place for the saturday night party!! Like I said, only the best bands from the tri-state area get to play here, there's a HUGE deck, tons of volleyball courts, beer pong, darts, pool tables, and SMOKIN' HOT chicks dancing on the bar, not to mention EVERYWHERE!

Let me know if you have any questions...

That sounds like it'd be some great fun.

I have to say, I'm very hesitant on actually going to Carlisle. I really don't know anyone here and I'm stupid broke so I can't afford a room to my own, but I guess a lot of you are splitting a room several ways? If some kindly person that won't mug me in my sleep has a spare closet or something that'd be great AIM is xdarkpaladinloki if anyone wants to work something out.

Not knowing anyone is not a valid excuse. The reason to go is so you can meet everyone! Being broke, well, that's a different story. But I'm sure somebody will be looking to split a room!

Well, maybe not stupid broke, but stupid fiscally shrewd. If I can split a room with some cool people I'd probably go.

BTW, deadline for registering to stay with the NICO cars is when and where?

As far as I know, you can buy tickets to get in at the gate. For parking with the Nico crowd, there is no deadline. Just show up and park with us

Ah, okay. I thought last year there was some sort of pre-registration you had to do or else you were parking outside with the regular jerks.

No, last year we just didn't know how it would be set up because it was our first time doing things. So we ended up having our big NICO tent in the regular show lot, but all the Nico staff was at the track all weekend. Because of that, our big tent was practically deserted. This year, the big tent is going to be set up by the track. Claim yourself as a NICO member, and you're in. Its as simple as that.

You do have to pay for registration through the Carlisle P&S website though, or like I said, I think you can buy at the gate but it's probably a few $ more.

Can I get an addy? Me and the GF are planning on bringing sleeping bags just in case, but if we can swing that, we are all for it.
