I reached 2008 miles on my coupe last week and just needed to take a pic of the odometer.

Nice. I'm almost there...about 20 miles to go.

I've had my car for 4 months now and haven't hit 2000 yet...guess I'm not driving as much as some of the people here.

You can start using synthetic at any time. Some recommend after 30k, but its a matter of user preference.

you CANNOT switch to fully synthetic oil after using conventional oil. You can only switch to synthetic blend type oil. Seal and Gasket type failures are likely to occur like this.

You can switch to synthetic at anytime as long at the motor is new (as in this case) because over time (usually a few years) parts start to come loose and get used to conventional oil molecules (which are slightly bigger then in synthetic oil) and switching after a few years and some 50-60k + miles later can actually cause the synthetic oil to seep or possibly leak through seals and cracks that originally would be "plugged" buy conventional oil molecules. - thats my rough answer, I dont really have the actual technical answer... but you can switch... blending i'm not sure of, but switching i know is ok to do early on.

Damn. Some of you are hardly driving your car. I have just under 3000 with about 3 months of ownership.

That's about average, SHIFT.

I have 1950 miles with 4 months of ownership.

I bought my car on October 6th with about 28 miles on it and I'm already up to 1500+ miles on it... Looks like Johnny and I are about on par with each other. Must be all that OC/LA/IE driving, LOL.

I drove my Honda on conventional Penzoil 5W-30 for the first 150,000 miles. I switched to Penzoil 5W-30 full synthetic and now have 168,000 trouble free miles.

Purchase 2.5 S on June 29th, I just turned 9000 miles today. It will be going for it will be getting oil change #2 in about 3 more weeks. At that time I will be switching to full synthetic.

I switched my 2002 Camry with the notorious sludging engine over to synthetic at 36,000 and it is still purring along w/ 95000 on it today.
