Chassis code for '04-'08 is A34. Unless it's the non-North America Teana Maxima, then it's J31.

I'm not sure what has been done as far as widths, offsets by others. I think an 8 inch wide wheel with an offset of about 30 would be pretty close to flush, though. Being FWD, you probably won't be able to go too low offset unless you start doing your crazy suspension stuff. Stock 7.5 wide wheels have a 40mm offset and are sunk about an inch.

One think to keep in mind is that the rear suspension on the car is really compact, so there's a LOT of room.

so, a34, thats a cefiro for the japan counterpart?

which body style in japan is the same so i can find aero.

i looked on the nissan site, as well as gogle images, but the 08 maxima doesnt really look the same as the 08 cefiro.

any ideas?

does anyone have a maxima that can throw like a 9 +30 all the way around and see if it hits?

i might just send my mom and dad one of my wheels.

There's no Japanese counterpart. It's a North America-only model. The A-chassis became the Maxima chassis after the "real" Cefiro died in 2003/2004.

BUT, the J31 Teana still does sometimes go by the Maxima or Cefiro names depending on where it's sold, and it shares it's platform with the US '04-'08 Maxima. Bodywork is all 100% different, though, and the US Maxima is a larger car. The '02-'07 Altima has a lot in common with the Teana as well.

Kind of interesting that in the early 90s, the North-America purposed Maxima used a J-chassis code and the Cefiro was an A. Now the North-America purposed Maxima is an A-code, and the Cefiro is a J...

If I could get a hold of some wheels that size, I'd be glad to try and test fit them (on an '04, which is the same as the '08). Stick around and see if jsmithsole pops into this thread--he has aftermarket wheels on his '04 and might be able to offer more info.

ehthen ill just snag some cefiro emblems from nissan, and noone will know anyways lolololol

yeah, i hope someone pops in, with some kind of knowledge about the fitment.

I hvae a friend in hawaii that is gonna do some measurements and see the max i can fit without a roll or pull.

i dont want to have to do rolling and pulling on a brand new car that i didnt buy.

What size wheels do you want to put on? I have 20x8.5 with 38MM offset and 245/35/20's. If you want a staggered look you can go with 245/35/20 front and 275/30/20 rear with +35mm in the front and +43mm in the back. The rear tires will have that stretched look but keeps them from rubbing. It also depends on how/if you plan on lowering the car. I am on coils so it's super low...

Here's a pic of a staggered setup (sized as above)

Oh and don't do Cifero emblems. The cars are nothing alike, represent the 6th gen Maxima!!!

18s at the mostshe doesnt want anything bigger

i might go 19s

i kind of want 9s all aroundand why would i put a backwards stagger on a car?

that looks dumb and like your wheels are on backwards

but really, i just want to keep it 18x9 all the way around, just not sure of offsets
