Looking at a 2008 m45x and was wondering how to tell what packages the car has?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Patrick

The absolute best way is to look at the original window sticker. If one is not available, get the VIN and use a site like https://monroneylabels.com, which has been accurate in all the vehicles I have looked at.

The 2nd way would be you to provide a link or pictures to the said vehicle and we can decipher what it has from what we can see.

3rd, we can knock out a few packages that it definitely doesn't have by what you can remember, but it would be much easier if we saw it.

Edmunds also lists out the 'packages'...so using the 2nd and 3rd options Ed posted we can determine what package it has.

Looks like you have intelligent cruise, tech package with advanced sound system (speakers in seats), etc. The only thing I think you're is rear entertainment. Your car is pretty loaded for the year.

Yep! A pretty well optioned car. It has the Advanced Technology Package:
  • Intelligent Cruise Control (with Preview Braking)
  • Bose® 14-speaker 5.1 channel Studio Surround sound system
  • Lane Departure Prevention (LDP) system
  • RCA audio/video inputs on rear of center console
  • DVD-video/DVD-audio drive mounted in center console (plays on front screen only)
  • 8” DVD navigation system w/ 8-inch monitor
  • RearView Monitor
  • iPod interface w/ cable
  • 9.3-gigabyte Music Box hard drive
  • Voice Recognition

I have the HD music box too and I love it. You can load music from your comp onto a 'flash drive' disc and have hundreds of tunes on board to choose from.

Don't get any bigger than 16gb (8gb works best). An 8G drive will store 8 million kb = 2,000 music tracks. You scroll through with the NAV screen and it is lightning fast! Of course, Infiniti dropped this among other great kit after 2010.

Dealer said it has the sport package.
Does awd include sport package?

I believe the sport models have aluminum trim instead of wood. If yours has wood, it's probably NOT the sports model.

The sport model came with aluminum trim, but you could option them with African Rosewood trim.

Otherwise, the dealer is not correct on the AWD being a sport model. All sport models had aluminum pedals. They also had 19" wheels and different front fascia, which arguably can be replaced easily. They had darker headlight housings, among other features.
In the 2006-2010 Infiniti M, you could not get AWD and sport in one package. That came in the next generation.

Here's an example of a sport package vehicle:

I am shopping for a loaded out model and I am pretty sure it would be a sport model- not many out there on the market

If you want the most loaded M sport, then look for features that match the car I linked.

If you want the most loaded M (period), then look for one with reclining rear seats. It will not be a sport though.
