The AC on my car recently started blowing warm air. I took it in to a local dealership who did a routine service and returned my car to me. Three days later my AC started blowing warm air again. I made 3 additional trips to this dealership, who has had my car a total of almost 5 weeks, to STILL not have my AC working properly. I then took my car to a different dealership (my car is under extended warranty), who reloaded my AC and said it wasn't charged properly by the previous dealer. That worked for about 2 weeks and my AC again began blowing warm air. I took it back to the second dealer yesterday. They're telling me there's a leak, but they haven't found it yet. This is the same thing the first dealership told me.

Has anyone else had this issue? If so, what was the fix? I'm quite desperate to get this repaired once and for all. If this dealer can't fix it I may go to a local repair shop to see if they can. If that doesn't work, I'm going to have to trade it in. Thanks in advance for any tips!

Is it possible to run a smoke test on an AC system? That'll tell you where the leak is...

Both dealers used a dye to see where the leak is/was. From what I've been told, the leak may be small making it difficult to locate.

Maybe bad O-rings in the compressor?

I'll ask them to check that. Thanks!

Just spoke with the dealership. They're saying there was a very small leak in the condenser. Hopefully this fixes it. If not, I'll likely trade it in. Not that I'd be too disappointed in getting an M56!

Quick update... Two weeks after having my car back and my AC is still ice cold! Also, I made a complaint to Infiniti corporate regarding my warranty charges (three charges at $100 each) and they are going to refund two of them. Basically, I'm only paying for the one time my AC was actually fixed and not the times it wasn't. I'm very happy with Infiniti as a company and am still looking at an M56 or Q70L as my next vehicle!
