2008 M45 Nav / video hack

Can anyone please help me find a way to bypass the in motion disable feature that Infiniti has managed to install regarding the NAV / DVD system on the 2008 model M45? I've heard of it done with prior models and wondered if it exists yet.

And to those who want to try and tell me that i should have my two hands on the wheel to be safe, first put the compact down, or burger/fries/coke, and put all distracting items such as day planners, packages, pets, phones, etc in the back seat or trunk. I figured that if i paid 55000.00 for the car that i would know when its a good time to scroll through some of the menu pages while managing my multi tasking. And its in my best interest to keep safe, but lets be honest about certain features....... isnt it a little ridiculous what they've inhibited while driving?anyways

Try putting DVD or Nav override in the search. Not sure if the 08's are wired differently than the 07's though.

Here: zerothread/195910This works for the 06 & 07 models. I don't see them changing the wiring on this item really, but who knows.

)6 & 07 hack is not the same as '08. There is another forum out there where someone posted an 08 hack. It involves removing the entire center console. PM or email me for link.

Well, I didn't know. tried to help. Is it easier to do than the procedure needed for the 06-07 M's? Or do you still have to pull the glove box too in the 08's?

hacking the 08 is much more difficult than the 06/07...you have to dissassemble more of the car to get to the wires.

From what I read & saw, no, much more involve from a disassembling and reassembling standpoint. Cutting wires is the easy part. The '06/'07 can be done in 15 mins if you know what ya doing.
