2008 M45 Headlights

Can I disconnect the motor to my headlight that makes noise? I think the motor is giving out. Has anyone done this?

Im new here so pardon the newbiness. Is there a reason other than failing or noisy motors to disable the motorized headlights?

Have you tried to turn off the switch (AFS) to your left where the key fob slot is at? Not sure if it'll shut it off until you turn it back on, or if it's something that would require you to press every time you start the car. Other then that you may try looking for a plug or fuse to the AFS!
