2008 M35 Noise when starting and stoping

I have a noise when I start and stop- it sounds rather loud. At first I thought I had something rolling in the glove box, or door pocket - I emptied everything from the car and the sound is still there- sounds like in the dash or under the center console.

if you could imagine a large steel ball inside a tube and when you tilt the tube it rolls to one end and BAM- tilt the tube the other way and BAM
