2008 Honda Accord Coupe V6 EX-L Navi vs. 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe 3.5 SE Comparison Test

http://www.carpages.ca/go/road....aspx

"Finally, the Altima is the one you'll want to date... the one you'll have plenty of fun with, but also the one that has some fundamental if ignorable flaws. The Accord, however, is the one most will want to marry and live with. It may not be as charming as the Altima off the bat, but it's superior in just about every other way. So if choosing between the two, it really comes down to where you're at in your life. If you're still in dating mode, the Altima Coupe is prime for an exciting lifestyle. If you're ready to settle down or already fully settled, the Accord Coupe is your ride."

So what do you guys think about this comparison. It definatly feels less biased then the one edmundsinsideline did.

P.S.: Just want to say, I <3 my altima! best car I ever owned!

I think that was a very fair comparison/review. The Accord has been the flagship of mid-sized cars for many, many years. Now there's no denying that the Altima is a great car, but it still has it's quirks, being so new and all. I'm sure by the next generation Altima, that comparison gap will be a lot tighter. But for now, Honda still leads the pack. Unfortunately

Thati is a proper comparison. The Honda dealer invited me to drive the Honda Accord Coupe when he learn that I had an Altima Coupe.

The Honda Coupe feels like a Sedan with 2 doors, so if you are into comfy land and lots of room, you 'll love the Accord.

The Altima Coupe feels much more tight, more 2 dr coupe feel, sort of like a grown up 350Z. .

As for powertrain, the review nails it....the Nissan 3.5 with CVT out runs the Accord. When I drove the Accord, I was wondering where was the 268 horsepowers hiding?

My cousin and I went to New York and picked up a G37 from Queens...we drove back....cost him around $42,000 USD - G37 Sport w/Tech Pkg. It was an awesome ride home...im not sure how much taxes ended up being when he brought it into the country...but I can tell you he still saved a ton!

Now all he has to do is get an aftermarket warranty, and he will STILL save thousands

That doesn't make any sense when buying cars.

Wierd, more mags seem to favor the sedan over the coupe.

I believe it's because of the lack of space in the interior and trunk. And also the shorter wheelbase, which makes for a bouncier ride. Other than those things, the sedan's and coupe's are pretty much identical, minus the extra doors. Sedan's are more practical, and maybe that's what they favor.

I've test drove both the Altima Coupe and the Accord Coupe and they are both great cars. I found myself favoring the Altima though due to the responsiveness of the accelerator and the constant delivery of power. Also, the Altima has much more tech gadgets!!

Haha thanks...I came from 1addicts, but when the 128i pricing came out, i left the forum :-(. I'm pretty excited, because I test drove my 1st Altima coupe recently but won't get it until later, unfortunantly.

Infiniti's warranty works if the car's imported. One of the few companies that still does it.
