Hi folks. Have an issue with my automatic 2008 G37s. Was backing out my driveway this morning. Reversed out fine. Put the car into drive, the car still reversed. Park, is park. Reverse works. Neutral, drive, and manual selections all make the car reverse. The cluster shows the correct selections. Reverse lights work on reverse. No linkages seem broken. Oil still good. No leaks. 43k miles. Any suggestions? With no warranty, im afraid of a dealer diagnosis.

Then take it to Jiffy Lube.
I'm sure they know how to fix it if you don't trust a dealer.

Depends on the dealer. Some are good and some look at it as an opportunity to share your wealth.

There are lots of good independent garages around. Find one of those if you don't trust your local dealer.

So what happened?
