Hi guys/gals. I found a nice high performance shop locally. They are really good and do high end items including the BMW and Benz dealers aftermarket items. He told me there isnt anything out as far as the Ram air etc yet. What is out there for 2008 G35x that can add HP and gas milage?Looking to spend 1k and less and really seeking best bang for the buck for added HP without loosing gase milage.

Input is greatly appreciated!

Love the G. Fun to ride. After a week I am jonesin for more HP

Try searching the modification database in the stickies at the beginning of the forum. That question has been asked a thousand times.

Not a disturbance. The 07 sedan and the 08 sedan are the same car. There are a some 07 mods in the database that you will probably be interested in. (besides, the guys put a lot of work into that and we have to get some mileage from it...)

I don't think you're being a disturbance and i'm sure Bob(RN79870) doesn't think that either. He was probably just trying to guide you in the right direction. The problem is that you are probably correct that there aren't many forced induction options out there for the '08 yet, but if there are any options, your best bet to find them will be in the modification database here on Nico...

Don't be afraid to ask questions here... that's what we're here for.

Good luck on the search and keep us posted.

Dave thanks! I guess I am just lost. They have one and do not recall name, Injen ?? Adds 30% HP and up to 3 MPG. For $500 seems like a good bang for the buck. I will search....Just want to hear what sucess others have had with an 08.. Be well and I will sit back and search!

There are subtle differences between the '07 and '08. I ordered some pulstar plugs, they were for the '07 sedan, and they did not fit my '08...I have done the Stillen intakes and the Grounding Gear 10 wire performance kit. and I haven't seen any decline in MPG. and I have noticable more power. I might have a lil better MPG, but lately I have been having too much fun with this warm weather here in WA. Getting a fast intentions exhaust very soon (hopeufully in a week or so) with HFC.

Hockey...take all the mfg. claims with a little salt. Most of those claims are not backed up with real world unbiased tests. 30% HP gain is something that will come from forced induction, not a few bolt on parts. A 3 mpg would have every G owner taking notice, although some do report increased mileage.

Once you check the database for mods, (the link I gave you earlier) then search for "dyno results" limiting the search to the G forum. You'll see some before and after reports. You can expect about 8 to 10 from some of the exhaust, and a few from an intake. 30% would be 90HP and you'll need a supercharger or a turbo to get that kind of power.

If you have trouble with the search feature, we'll be happy to help you.

Back to the top. After making dozens of calls and hours of research I can not find any 2008 major performance upgrades. Everything is 07 or older. Any suggestions? The ingin intakes look awsome but there is nothing for 08. Whats the concesious of what I can do for around 1k to get the best HP for an 08 g35x?thanks guys/gals!

the 08 sedan is identical to the 07 sedan. if it says 2003-2007 then its for the coupe. look for 07+ parts. they exist and most of the forum members who have 07+ sedans have modded them with said parts.

^ he is right.

You guys have to be careful with aftermarket buy. Some company still advertising stuff for the first gen and never realized the 07 is totally different. There is a few upgrade you can get. And yes they for the 07 but the 08 is the same.

Intake you can get Fujita or Stillen. There are few others but cost you even more. You can get ground wire kit also some exhausts out but they are more then 1k. You can get the computer tuned with cob tuning.

That's about in a 1k range.

Also Bob is right. although he is a Furd guy but you know sometimes Furd guys getting it right too. Like Svt selling his SVT and bought a coupe. 30% gain well have a hard time to believe it but let me know if it is true. I would be the first to buy it.

When SVT comes clean we'll all know it was his wife that made him sell the vert.
