Looking at a 2008 G35x Sedan. I haven't started negotiations yet, but the current price is $32.5k. It has Premium package, tech, nav, and sport pacakge with 20k miles and the Infiniti CPO. Not sure how much room they have to move on this thing, I am just trying to figure out the cut over point where its not worth it and to go look at a 2010. If I can get the car in below 30k it might be worth it.

So far its been harder to find a 2009 G37x with nav in color that my wife wants. (she hates white, red and really does not like any interior color other then graphite/black) This sort of taste tends to eliminate a lot of cars on a dealers lot. So that why the 09's have been sorta scratched off the roster, unless someone knows of a killer deal out there. (and the car has graphite/black interior, and its not white or red)

Just curious what everyone's thoughts are on this, I know they have the zero % deal on all 2010's. We were looking to do a 48 month deal though pinching to 36 might be worth it for the zero percent.

0% is nice if you can swing the 36 month payment. I'd try to get a decent rate from a Credit Union...

As far as the 2008, seems a bit high...they tac-on 2k for CPO. I purchased my 2009 G37 with sport/nav/premium for 33,400. 37k out the door...but that was when they were trying to move the 2009's for the 2010's. That's going to be your best deal.

just got my 2010 G37x for $37k, id would go for the upgrade, the extra couple thousand wont rasie your payment too much especially if you doing 0%

but if that 2008 comes out real cheap then go for it!!!

Go for the 10. I have the 08 and love it. However I drove the 10 and it is more refind and just more car for your money. Of course if you end up with a great deal on the 08 take it other than that go for the 10.

I would lean toward the 2010. I just picked one up myself a month or two ago and am really enjoying it. The G35 is a nice car too I'm sure, but I really like the changes they've made the last couple of years.

Best price the dealer can do on the 08 is 30682, though I think I can get them to wiggle more.

Have two dealers with left over 09's
One 2009 is $42480 its premium, nav, sport and some other port odds and ends, for $36,900
The other is just nav, & premium msrp $41386 now $36846.

We know which one is the better deal out of these two.....
Both dealers said the trunk money from infiniti to move these things is less for the month of May versus what it was in April. Since both said it, I have to guess there is some truth to it. Not sure if there are any special fin rates attached to them or not, waiting to hear back from both of them on that.

Hmm what to do what to do..... kmckis1029 thats a crazy good deal you walked out the door with on your 2010.

Welcome to NICO

Go for the 2010

Christmas Eve and New Years Eve are the two best days to buy.
Next come end of month days in the worst weather. Snowstorms, rainstorms etc.
To close the final deal show up on one of the above days 1/2 before closing time and keep hagling

Good luck

He got a crazy good deal because we have a good relationship with Infiniti of Gwinnett. If you're willing to travel, I'm sure they'd be willing to save you some $$.

THere is a black 2008 G35X w/17K miles near by with prem ASKING $26.9K.....I think the 08 is priced too high. BTW, have you tried the Sport seats for an extended drive??
I would say save the $5K to $7K and find an 08

Its going to be my wife's car, and her current car is involved in the trade too, so we have to keep it more local. I have them down into the high 20's now on the 08. Sport seats on a long drive are not an issue. We have an A8L with seat cooling, heat and massage for that :-) . We drove from Philly to San Diego and back about a year ago in it. 14 hour stretches were never an issue in that car. You could go 700 miles in it and it feels like you only covered 100. The only thing that would alert you to how far you've driven is when you realize you need stuff another 24 gallons of gas into the thing. That and Kelly is 5'2" on a good day and 105 pounds so sport seats for her are a plus. She is a lover of the Benz C63 AMG seats.

I guess with bluetooth and iphones, it won't download the directory from the phone like on the 09's and 10's? Its not a huge issue. Have a spare nano, so we'll make the music player for her car. If I've been reading right the sport package includes a viscous rear diff?

I just did a search on autotrader of all 2008 G35x's around the country with nav under 30k miles. Low came in at 21 high came in at 33. The car that was 21 didn't even have nav so it was a mislist by the seller. Average came in at 29.6k. Loaded car with CPO at 29k is certainly not the best deal but its also not the worst. Most cars seem to have the nav and premium, not too many with the addition of sport and tech package.

Picked up my '07 G35s with Nav, Tech, 4AWS for 21k a year ago (40k miles). Deals are out there, you just have to be patient.

Don't buy new. You will feel like the world's biggest sucker when your car is worth 40% the moment you sign the purchase contract. Go with the pre-owned!!! Get a loan through a bank & buy private party... dealerships will always be inflated, and their warranties are pretty much useless.

Infiniti's do not depreciate like other makes. I could sell my 2009 G37S for 30,500 and I paid 33,400. That's less than 9% depreciated value...hardly 40%. I also found that dealerships have decent pricing on used (you have to find the deals).

Buying new affords better interest rates, guarantee that nobody beat on it, and all wear items are new. But you can find good pre-owned deals. I bought my 2005 G35 coupe for 31500 in 2006 with less than 5k miles and sold it a few months ago for 19k.

Now I bought a Mitsubishi Lancer ES in 2002 for 17500...took out a 5 year, no payments for a year (making it a 6 year loan). That things value dropped like a stone. We looked to sell it about 3 years into the loan...was only worth 7-8k. But it stayed at that value for a long time. In fact, I sold it for 5k last year.

yeah joe603 hooked me up with a great sales guy... car was $41k MSRP with nav, prem, wood and they took of the $4K... i was like wow! They selling cars like hot cakes there... i mean their waiting area had customers waiting to be seen by the next avaliable sales guy. i had never saw that at a car dealership before. My sales guy Steve sold three cars while i was there lol (including my car).

Try taking your car to a dealer & see how much cash they'd give you for it outright. You will be quickly educated that Infiniti drops like everything else. My M35 with a sticker of almost $60,000 was worth $30,000 cash a year later.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

I agree with Joe 40% is not accurate with the G. Not even close.

There are some good and bad things buying new. If you buy new well you (myself also ) a sucker with Wingfeathers words. However you know what you are getting into. When you buy used you don't know what the previous owner did to the car. Like some may remember when the owner of the G coupe left his dog in the car and the dog had diarhhea. Well the guy sold his car after he cleaned it. Do you think on a good summer that car won't smell?

The chance is there when you buy used but you pay less. I used to buy used cars. Never had issue. Last don't know maybe 6-7 cars I bought were new.

Also have to remember some carmakers offer better deal aka 0% on their new cars. So if you take the used with 3-5% financial or 0% new and the final price between the 2 cars maybe 4-5k. Don't see much of the difference in payment and you have longer warranty also.

The M depriciate a lot more than the G.

now if there is a significant model change your car value will drop alot... Im guessing thats what happened in your case...

03-06 Gs values dropped because of the 07-09s models, same thing will happen to the 07-09, since the 10-12 models will be coming down the pipe.

the M just went through a major revision for 2011... so resale of M35 and M45 will be horriable... :yesnod

M resales are always horrible. That might actually chnge with the New M. It actually has style and might worth something ( %) after few years.

I would never take it to the dealer...private party only. Sorry you paid sticker for your M. Try using Edmunds.com to see what you car is really worth. Don't take what the dealer offers; they need to make a profit.
