Post

Greetings to all, as this is my first post. I bought my new 2008 G35, in red, a few months ago and am loving it so far and i have a few queries:

- Does anyone use the raise sterring wheel, move seat back upon switching the car off feature or will that somehow wear it out?

- Is there a way to turn the air intake on the AC to internal "circulation" permanantly without having the auto feature enabled every time the car is turned on?

- How many of you drivers use the semi-auto paddle shift gears while driving? I am trying to use them more often just for the drive experience. More curious than anything.

Thanks for reading.

This is a very convienant feature and I know many of my customers use this without and issue. If you do ever have an issue with any of the seat switchs and or motors you have more than enough warranty to get it covered.

I really am not sure what your exactly getting at but, you can just hit the Recirc button while the Climate Control is off. It can also be changed in all operating functions with the exception of defrost. I do not think there is a way to permanently set it to recirc.

This is also one of the best features on this car. I know allot of the G as well as EX owners use the DS mode most of the time and the paddle shift control can really increase the enjoyment of a normal drive.

Enjoy your G

The novelty wears off after a while. My G doesn't have it but my '92 Q has it. As the car gets very old (beyond the warranty) I think it's just extra wear and tear on the seat motor and seat rails. Historically Infinitis tend to have a problem with the seat rails where the driver's seat shifts around slightly, I think some of the 1st gen G coupes had that problem, not sure about the sedans. Not saying it will happen to your car, but history often repeats itself.

Enjoy what you paid for... worry about it later... If you wanted a car that didn't do that you should have bought a Nissan IMHO

Welcome to Nico,

I love all those features. I never thought about wearing. Maybe because I buy another before the warranty is over.

How long you going to keep the G? If longer and this is worrying you maybe just disable it.
