Brand new to forum.Just picked my new 2008 G35 journey w/nav 3 days ago.My problem is that I have an mp3 player from Sansa (Rhapsody). The plug-in is for Ipod and does not fit my Sansa mp3.Any suggestions on how to connect it or does it need to be done through the audio jacks with different cables?

It was specifically made for the Ipod. I don't have the premium package so I'm not sure if it also has the RCA inputs (the little yellow/red/white guys). If you do have them then you can plug your mp3 into there and switch the input to AUX, but you won't be able to control the mp3 player from the NAV screen, you'll have to use the mp3 player.

I have the same problem, but with a Zune in the G37s. I just used the AV cable option for TV (3 RCA jacks: Left, Right, and video) and it worked fine. I bet there is such a cable for the Sansa.

One thing to watch out for is the volume. I had to turn the volume up to near maximum (19 out of 20).

The iPod functionality is so sweet on the 08 that I'd just buy an old ipod off of e-bay for $40, drop your tunes onto it and drop it into the box. You never have to look at it again. Everything is controlled from the system.

Hi All,

New to the forum here, bought an 08 Journey and thought it had the iPod adapter but only has the A/V jacks. Dealer and Nissan have been less than helpful now that the deal is done. I am trying to find out if there is a way to add the oem iPod connection after the fact or if there is an aftermarket solution to add that will the same functionality?

any help much appreciated!

Welcome to NICO

I can't address your first question, since I'm not familiar with the Journey setup, but as for your second option, if you're willing to give up your satellite radio, hop on over to this thread

Are you sure it is not an 07? I thought all 08's came with Ipod conector.
