I'm trying to reach the power mirror connection without tearing up the door panel. I recently bought a CD that is supposedly an official Nissan Service & Repair Manual for the 2008 Frontier, but the entire instruction for removing the armrest is, "Lift armrest upward to release clips and remove armrest", and there's no decent photo description. I've tried "lifting", but the amount of force that seems to be required is just short of what I would expect to apply if I were trying to tear it apart without regard to ever reassembling it. The Pull Handle Escutcheon and the Pull Handle Cover aren't coming off easy either. I've seen the thread for 1995 vintage Frontiers but can't find one for 2008's. Is there any help out there?

Usually with bits like that, it's easiest to take a small flathead screwdriver and gently pry around the edges, and try to find the clips it's being held by, and give that area a little more love.

When I was helping with Greg and Bex's, though, You just pulled really hard and they would come off. I think I used a screwdriver to start it, and then the rest I could work with my fingers. It did take some force, though.

Thanks for the reply. I guess that's what I will need to do. My problem is that I've owned too many old cars, and the older plastic gets the more brittle it is. I have wound up using hot glue to put things back together on several occasions. Maybe this one is still new enough to be flexible.

Like your Z's! I had an 86 300ZX for 19 years. Couldn't wear it out. Sold it last month. The Frontier is compensation of a sort.

if it does snap I found that 2 part epoxy from parts store is a good fix and can hold up really well. I fixed my hardbody tailgate handle with some until I found a good one in the junk yard. It is still holding and sitting in garage as back up handle.
