Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Really like it. Barely noticeable as far as sound goes, just has a more aggressive rumble at idle and when accelerating. It passed the wife test. I think there is a little more performance as well.

Great to hear that you are liking it ! How long did it take you to cut and weld the midpipe? I might just do the same, but i have to find a shop who will do it for cheap. Also reweld back the hanger from original location.

I have a little $200 flux core mig, so I did it myself. Took 15 minutes. Used a sawzall to cut out the section after first drawing a straight marker line so I could line the pieces up after the section removal. Tacked it in place, made sure all looked well, then ran the bead. Wire bushed it, then a quick spray of silver paint. All done!
I did follow where JR cut the midpipe (1 7/8 " ) My performance shop did cut 1 1/2 " only since they did not remove the exhaust bolt at all. They just raised the car and cut and welded under. That is a good thing since I do not have to worry about new exhaust gasket. I paid $ 60 for cutting and welding and moving back those 2 hangers (MIDPIPE) to the original position and pushing the exhaust inwards toward the front of the car. Now tips are not sticking out and looks STOCK!
