2008 EX35 -- Pricing Guidance

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Looking at an EX35, White Pearl, that is fully loaded (but not AWD). It has the Luxe Package, Tech Package, Navigation, Wood Trim and Roof Rails.

MSRP was $44K. Invoice is $40K.

Suggestions as to a fair price?

Also, what if same exact car that is a DEMO with 3000 miles on it. Same "new" sale w/ warranty, where should that price?

Thanks All!

Welcome to Nico.

I'd suggest you make a few phone calls to a few other dealers so you feel better about the deal. Right now, cars without 30 mph EPA ratings are not hot movers, and Infiniti doesn't have anything in that category.

Call a few other dealers in LA, and a few on Orange county and see what you come up with.

However, 10% of sticker is probably a pretty darn good deal any way you look at it.

I appreciate the response -- and will do that. Curious, those that have recently purchased EX35 .. what kind of discount off MSRP did you get (if any)? Thanks again.

I got the exact same car you got (different color) -- had the cross bars in addition to what you noted. No AWD. I got it for just a few hundred over invoice -- but I was leasing it. I'm paying $549 a month for a 39 month lease with 17,000 miles a year. Paid $1,251 at signing. If I had been buying it cash I'm guessing I could have gotten an even lower price, but that was back in March. Maybe even better deals can be had now. The lease rates from Infiniti are certainly lower than what they were back then. Posted some of the lease rates on another thread.

Hope that helps!

One of the differences out in California (perhaps all the US?) is that they are offering 0% APR up to 72 months. Free financing will get factored into the negotiation.

I'm getting the since that paying a slight mark up over invoice is the answer.

How much discount should 3000 miles on the car (demo) get me?

I received 7,000 off MSRP in May. Mine had Nav,premium, luxe style, roof rails and the cargo protector (no Tech) I would try for at least 7000 off if you do not take the demo car. I know a California dealer who was willing to go 7500 off sticker back in May . There is 4,000.00 in dealer cash available right now.If you want the demo car try for 9,000 off MSRP. Also make sure the warranty starts the day YOU buy it, not the day the demonstrator went into service. (I lost 10 months when I bought a demo a few years back) GOOD LUCK!

Wow what a great deal. I thought I did pretty well, maybe should have pressed them for more. I got a liquid silver, graphite, navi, premium, tech, roof rails, and all season mats.0 down, 605, 72 months (out the door) Picked up yesterday. This was $300 below their invoice price.

And you will get a better trade and resale value for the loaded car vs. stripper model. it's a win win situation and you have more toys to play with.

First time poster. Just picked up my EX35 yesterday. Played around with cars.com for pricing and spoke with 3 different dealers within a 100 mile radius. MSRP on my car was $42,075 and after d!ck got it at $35,580. I could of saved another $400 but decided to bite the bullet and use my local dealer instead of one 100 miles away. Figured since I would service it locally, the extra money was worth it. Love the car, traded in my 2004 Murano for it and all the extra touches are great.

A warm welcome to both of you (gloa2000 & sricha20530)!!

With the pricing we tolerate up here in Canada (for starters, MSRP runs from just above $40K to over $52K all optioned up), you guys are killing me with your talk of the great deals available in the US!!!

Cheers,David

Passport infiniti in alex, va advertised last week up to $10K off EX35. That's, of course, with all incentives; one of which is probably $500 for loyalty. My non-intuitive math says that's about $6K on a loaded car if you remove the $4K factory cash instead of 0% financing.

On my MSRP $44,425, my negotiated price was $5,900 less, which is about 14.5% off MSRP. And I got the zero% financing; if I took the cash, I would have been a sawbuck short of the $10K offered by Passport!

In my opinion, especially with dealers sitting on 20+ cars in inventory, is to go for 15% or more off MSRP (plus the $4K cash or zero percent.) If I were patient, I would have waited to Sept 2 and offer 20% off, but I really wanted the tech package but did not want the 18" wheels/lower profile tires, so my choices were limited. It will be interesting to see what Nissan does after Sept 2 if they still have all those cars; worse case they will extend the zero percent.

$6k off should be pretty standard and easy to come by at this point. Heck I got $6k off back in May with exactly the car I wanted (completely loaded with -every- thing....including Luxe Elite)

Perhaps someone can offer an opinion. I'm trying to cut a long distance deal. I'm currently living in Puerto Rico, but will be leaving permanently next week. I will be in the DC area on the 25th of this month. I'd like to have my car ready to pick up the day I arrive.

The car I am considering has been quoted to me by a Virginia dealer as follows: $38,187. This includes the $865 Destination charge and a document fee of $299. A 3% sales tax will be levied on the aforementioned total.

It is an AWD Journey in Dark Currant and Wheat interiors. Packages include Premium, Technology, Luxe Style, Navigation, Maple Wood, splash guards, roof rails, roof rail crossbars, cargo area protector.

Is there any room to battle for a better price? This was his offer. I have not countered it as of this time. I believe this is around $8k or so off MSRP. Any opinions?

I really wanted something with the Luxe Elite, but it is nowhere to be found in Dark Currant with Wheat or Chestnut.

Thanks.

I was way off on the previous number. The number they're offering me the car at out the door with all fees and taxes paid is $39,880.00

Anyone care to share their opinion with me? Good price or not? Can I haggle that down a bit?

OK, I finalized the deal with Infinity Passport of Alexandria, VA, where the vehicle sales tax rate is only 3.17%. I did not request the 0% financing. Luckily, I was able to get one with the Luxe Elite package out the door with all fees and taxes included for $40,500.00 configured the following way:

2008 Infiniti EX35 AWD JourneyDark Currant/Wheat/Maple WoodPremium packageNavigation packageTechnology packageLuxe Elite packageMaple Wood packageRoof racksRoof rack crossbarsSplash guardsCargo area protectorCargo organizerColor matched all weather mats3 year/36,000 mile - free required-maintenance plan

The breakdown is as follows:$38,113.50 vehicle with all options and 3yr maintenance plan$ 1,208.00 3.17% Virginia tax$ 299.00 Documentation fee$ 815.00 Destination charge$ 64.50 Title and registration

$40,500.00 Total out the door

I placed a deposit on it since they had to order it from their overflow lot and it won't arrive until end of month. I will fly in to DCA on the 24th, sign the paperwork and will be provided with a loaner until my unit arrives.

The thing is, I have not spoken with anyone as of this time. The deal was completely done through email correspondence. Not a single phone call took place. The participants in the exchange were the sales person, the sales manager and myself.

To this point, the financing has also been worked out through email exchanges. My brother is a finance manager for a Chrysler dealership in Florida. He's helping me with the negotiating process.

If anyone cares to see the entire exchange, let me know. I can post it if no one minds.

Sounds like a good deal... about the same I got, once you factor in the AWD option and all the other options and accessories (Wood, Tech, Luxe) and the 3 year maintenance plan.... no loyalty discount

As I posted in a separate thread, I think you did sooo much better than I did in NY.

My sales tax is 1,000 more and I did not get Luxe Elite, just regular Lux and I did not get Tech. None was available in my coloe with Lux.

So if I adjust for sales tax diff I am paying 41,754 and you are getting Tech and the upgraded Luxe.

I do not know how some have gotten 5M to 7M off MSRP???
