2008 EX35 Journey Exhaust. (Muffler)

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I heard that the 2008 G37 coupe Exhaust fits pretty well in the EX35.

I got rear-ended and the stock exhaust are both bent and insurance will be replacing it soon. So I asked the body shop to order a different part# Exhaust which is from G37 coupe. They guy said no problem since the prices are the same. Only problem is if it wont fit as direct bolt on, I have to pay restocking fee.

One of our members here said that it was a direct bolt on from G37 coupe exhaust to his 2010 EX35. Mine is 2008 Model, I wonder if there are changes from 2008 to 2010 EX35 model. I am basically looking at the sound in between G37 coupe and EX35. The G37 coupe is a bit loud for my taste and the EX35 is too quiet.

This one is perfect!

Of course it'll fit. :slap:

Only things that changed on the EX driveline were engines and transmission. All other hardware remains the same for ease of manufacture.

There are other sexier sounding options out there after clicking on links that came up with your u-tube.

Noise perceived in the cabin might be minimally louder from my experience riding in different cars with exhaust swaps. U would be hard-pressed to tell the difference with that little of an increase in sound unless u had the windows down. :dblthumb:

I put a brand new G37S coupe muffler on my EX. Direct bolt on - took 10 minutes.

The only thing that is a little different is the tips are a little bit shorter. I didnt notice really until i had the new body kit on it. And nobody else will notice.

Sounds amazing.

I'm planning on trying the entire magnaflow system on my ex with HFCs. From what I can tell, most of the exhausts (stock and aftermarket) that are for the g coupe will work on the ex.

So far I like the sound of the G37 coupe muffler on the EX35. Not too loud... Pretty solid sound , not boyracer sound signature. So the coupe G37 midpipe will fit in the EX?

I saw a Tanabe midpipe for G37 coupe and y pipe . Will this fit too to EX35?

Yes, the Coupes parts should all fit the ex (awd). If interested, I have seen some used IPL setups on ebay.

I am very interested in getting a cheap midpipe from a 2008 G37 coupe for my 08 EX35. I noticed too that the newer G37 coupe muffler has a different part# than the 2008.....

I am planning to get these....

Berk High Flow Cat (G37 coupe) ----------> Stock EX35 Midpipe-----------> OEM G37 Coupe Exhause Muffler.

I heard that changing the stock EX35 Midpipe to OEM G37 coupe mid-pipe will cause drone sound....

I changed my mind.

I think I am going with this setup.

fast intentions resonated HFC-----> stock EX35 midpipe--------> G37 coupe muffler

Since , some member here has Berk HFC installed in their EX35, does the Berk HFC comes from the G37 coupe model? I would assume same with Fast Intention Resonted HFC????
