2008 EX35 How to remove/install radiator

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hi Guys,

I'm new to this forum. :chuckle: Just a little intro, I bought my wife the EX 35 back in February 2015. Bought it at a used car dealer. Second day I noticed a transmission oil leak on the drive way, long story short dealer sold it as is and I had to repair it myself. :tisk: Infiniti wants about $900 for the radiator alone :rotfl I don't think so.

By the way it was leaking on the transmission cooler fitting at the radiator. Originally changed the o ring on it, worked for about 2 months and it's back to leaking. So I rather change the radiator than have the transmission go dry.

I did a video on the whole process, I saw a few threads talking about it so I decided to film as I did mine. I tried to look for a "how to " section to post it there but I don't see one or don't know about it. Feel free to ask away if you have any questions. :dblthumb:

I know you did this quite a while ago, but thanks so much for making that video. I've added it to my "things I'll eventually be changing" YouTube playlist.

I just had an indy shop do mine for 635$ out the door with a Murray replacement. Had to do it quicker than I could get time off.

Hey,
Sorry to bring up such an old thread!
My transmission cooler bottom connector is leaking. Did you have to remove the radiator to fix that? To put/change the o'ring? Someone told me there is no o'ring and that I should use white sealant tape.
If didn't have to remove the radiator, did you have to remove the bottom radiator hose to make room to work?
If I can't fix it easily, I'm thinking about adding an external cooler and mount it in front of the radiator instead of changing the whole radiator.
Thanks.
