2008 EX35 Brake peddle clicking

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

35,000 miles w/ journey intermittent clicking when applying brake peddle, sometimes moreso when in reverse. I mention this because I had an 08 G35 and that car had a squeak sound every time the peddle was let up. Brought that in to dealer and they said there was nothing they could do to eliminate the squeak. Now I'm wondering if there are some mechanical issues with the G series brake peddles or brakes themselves! anyone with ideas?

I think this could be play in the caliper bushings or the brake pads on the slider.

My 08 makes a clicking sound at times that seems to come form the rear brakes when I initially applying them. Warmer weather seems to make it happen more often and you hear it more when your windows are down. Of course the dealer could never hear the clicking the two times I had it looked at. Other than the noise I don't think their is anything wrong with the brakes. I figured it would get fixed when I replace the pads.
