2008 EX35 add Bluetooth?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hello all
New to this forum.
Can anyone point the right direction to what I need to do to add Bluetooth to a 2008 EX35?
It has Bose but no Bluetooth. Can a radio from an newer model be installed that has Bluetooth already
or what aftermarket product may work with the existing radio to add Bluetooth?
Thanks,
Steve

Does your EX have any inputs in the center console? I just purchased a 2009 XE35 AWD Journey and it has RCA jacks in the console which is a bit surprising. Im going to buy a Bluetooth adapter with RCA outputs from Amazon and give it a try. I have a similar setup in my 2009 BMW Z4 using the 3.5mm stereo line in jack and a Bluetooth adapter.

Sorry for late reply. Yes I have the plug entry point in the center console. I don't have the wire harness, but the car has the plug.

Hmmm, makes me wonder if the center console RCA inputs are wired to the head unit. I’ll find out tomorrow.

Good news! Plugged in the $16 Bluetooth adapter I purchased from Amazon to the RCA jacks, hit the aux button and I can now stream music, podcasts, etc. from my cell phone.

If you are still interested in connecting to bluetooth, here is my original link on how to do it: topic505596.html
