2008 EX AM Radio Issues

The AM radio reception in my 2008 EX is unacceptable. When I'm tuned to a station at 1250, I get bleed-over from 1220 and when I scroll up to 1270, 1250 comes in better, though understandably with more static.

The Dealer (Tacoma, WA) tells me that this is "typical of the model and year" and that I'll have to learn to live with it...

Has anyone else had this issue and come up with a fix? I'd greatly appreciate some help.

AM radio is still static-filled and the only place that has some of my favorite talk shows and where one can get 24/7 news...
