Post

I bought a used 2008 Nissan Tiida/Versa ST sedan manual (in Australia) and I like it. I already own it for over a year now.

I noticed two things, but never got around to ask anyone about it.
First the clutch pedal is actually quite hard to push down. Even my 2001 Daewoo Matiz clutch was a lot easier to push down. It always seemed to me, the older the car is, the harder it was to push the clutch pedal down - just one of the things that happens to old cars. As I am always used to older cars, whenever I was driving a newer car (for work), I slammed the clutch down with a bang.
Is that just the way the Versa clutch (pedal) is designed or is it somehow "broken" and can be fixed or adjusted?

The windows (especially front). I think they are too hard to wind down and up - I know that is not a really good description, but compared to other cars it just seems like the window winders are too weak. I took the door covers off and have cleaned the rails as much as I could and applied lubricant as well, but it never got any better. When I looked at the system nothing seemed broken or worn. Is that normal?

I appreciate your input.

Well iv never had a versa but nissan clutches are generaly pretty still but otherwise if it gets cold enough to freeze at night there might be water in ur clutch lines that freezes or maybe a blockage in the line but either way if its a problem change ur clutch fuel see how that helps. As for the windows are they manual or electric? If its electric it might be the motors but if not try lubricating the window weather stripping it might just be gripping the window too tite.
