I bought a used 2008 Nissan Tiida/Versa ST sedan manual (in Australia) and I like it. I already own it for over a year now.
I noticed two things, but never got around to ask anyone about it.
First the clutch pedal is actually quite hard to push down. Even my 2001 Daewoo Matiz clutch was a lot easier to push down. It always seemed to me, the older the car is, the harder it was to push the clutch pedal down - just one of the things that happens to old cars. As I am always used to older cars, whenever I was driving a newer car (for work), I slammed the clutch down with a bang.
Is that just the way the Versa clutch (pedal) is designed or is it somehow "broken" and can be fixed or adjusted?
The windows (especially front). I think they are too hard to wind down and up - I know that is not a really good description, but compared to other cars it just seems like the window winders are too weak. I took the door covers off and have cleaned the rails as much as I could and applied lubricant as well, but it never got any better. When I looked at the system nothing seemed broken or worn. Is that normal?
I appreciate your input.
