Well it is time to get the car out on the track this year - but before I trailer it 4 hours to race it I want to do a hand full of Auto-crosses to try and sort out any bugs at a local event. My question is this: What autocross class will a purposley built S13 SR powered 240 fit into? Mods...too many to list but full cage, gutted iterior, SR powerplant, no windows, aftermarket suspension, brakes, etc. I don't plan on running it a full season of autocross - but I don't really want to show up and piss anybody off thinking I am trying to sneak into a class I shouldn't be in. Add to that I don't really want to get put into a class racing against carts or winged creations from hell who will hand me my head either: ).

I will see if I can upload a few pics of the car...

Thanks in advance.

I would imagine the gutted interior and lack of windows throws you into prepared class...E prepared maybe, forget what prepared class the 240sx goes into.

I was thinking prepared too. I looked in the rulebook but did not see where to try and find where the 240 will fall. What section would it be listed in?

It is in E prepared, it is listed under Datsun/Nissan

Thanks! I checked it out and it seems to be where the car should be. I wonder how many other SRs will be stuck into that class. Only one way to find out I guess.

I don't think you can run the SR in EP. I think you'd have to run XP or DM. XP is a fun class, though. There's a lot of interesting cars in there......
