2008 AWD Shift Lock failed

In the last few months sporadically I had trouble getting the shifter out of neutral (yep I pressed the brake pedal). Now it has completely failed. I am using override to be able to drive. Noticed there are two switches on brake pedal, assuming one is brake and one shift interlock? Has anyone had issue like this? I am starting to get pissed off with Rogue reliability. (new engine and new cvt in last year, only 70,000 kms)

Errr I meant can't get out of PARK position
