Hi Folks. I am new to the forum. Hoping you can help a brother out. I am a new owner of a 2008 Altima Sedan. Car came with cloth interior. I have sourced the entire leather interior which includes the seats, door panels and center console. It's all black. Of course now my grey dash is gonna stick out like a sore thumb. I am gonna try to negotiate on getting the dash as well from the donor car. Does anyone have specific instructions on how to remove the entire dash out of the car? I am not talking about the trim around the radio alone. I am taking about the entire dash from from door to door. I might even buy the oem navigation system the donor car has. In case I get this too, should I grab the harness? And where is the GPS antenna located? Thanks for any feedback you can offer.

if anybody is interested, I did the seats and panel transplant on the weekend. it went quite well. I learned a lot. My car is a 2008 3.5 SE. This was a 2007 3.5 SE...the donor car was quite different. The donor car came with the navi and Bose stereo with the oem Bose amp mounted in the trunk, with a back up camera and with a rear view mirror which has the garage controls. So I thought I could switch out the speakers....NOPE! the speakers have different plugs on them. so I couldn't plug my non-Bose speaker harness into the Bose speakers. Then I took out the center console, I found 2 more modules under the console than I did in mine. The harness is very different. The color of the interior now is black, but my dash is grey. It's not as bad as I was afraid it would be. But I would like to get the black dash. It may happen this weekend.

I ordered a 2007 Altima Dash for my sedan off of eBay. I live in Southeast FL and like many other 2008's the dash is melting, splitting and cracking. Nissans error with type of glue used in production. Anyways I'll be tackling this swap next week and happy to have a good dash after years of sadness.
Good luck and any tips you have about installing would be appreciated.

How hard was this? I just got my son an 09 coupe for his first ride, and his dash is a bit melted. Not as bad as some that I have seen, but there is still a decent glare. I'd like to pull it off and give it a nice coat of flat black paint.
