Hi All -

i just got a 2.5SL blk altima and really wanted HID's but however thats only available on the 3.5 - so i was wondering if anyone know of any bulb that i can replace so that it would look bright and cool as a HID - could be a bright white or a light blue color bulbs - as long as they are more noticeable and better perfomance.

Thanks all!

We even have an entire category: http://forums.altimas.org/zeroforum?id=253

If you want the HID look, go with the real thing. Otherwise, i'd say your best option would be sylvania silverstars or cool blues, but those arent anything like HIDs.

DarkScorpion -

thanks for your help - it look slike i might wait couple of weeks before putting in HIDs. However I cant believe that you have to take apart your bumper in order to even change a bulb...

Thanks again!

Hoen xenon match plus bulbs give the white light and xenon look. About the same lumens output as someone tested before.

you can change the bulbs by going in through the front wheel well..

HIDS will provide more light as a headlight upgrade though.

there is a way to do it without taking off bumper and going through wheel wells, but then you'll be cramped and no room to work with. it'll be much easier to remove the bumper, i know sounds ridiculous to change a bulb but that's nissan for you.
