I just went to my local dealership yesterday to buy some oil filters and did a price check on the Nismo for my car. It's listed at $1300 but I have a good friend who works there and can get me his cost which is $867!! Still too expensive if you ask me.

Much too expensive, in my opinion, but good thing it's a cat-back.

Yeah, but I live in Hawaii and we usually pay a lot more than our mainland counterparts I guess the cost to freight it over has something to do with that

Don't go trading in your Borla just yet.

Hey, I have to rub something in since I have to pay a premium on EVERYTHING!! Believe it or not, a gallon of milk runs about $7.50 if not on sale. When I lived in LA, they were like $3

$869.95 is WAAAAYYY to much for an exhaust....especially if the performance gain is comparable to greddy or other manufacturers. Just because it says NISMO on the exhaust tips doesn't mean jack. But knowing myself. I'll probably end up getting the exhaust anyway

I want it!! But at the price I am gonna have to pass . Be a nice touch for sure but minimal gains just ain't worth it.

Ever since going to the dealership yesterday, I've been slowly but surely dropping hints to the gf I kept saying, "wow, that's a pretty good price for the exhaust. I wonder if I should buy it? Hmm...nah, I think I'll wait for now. Maybe I'll buy it for myself for X-mas?"

Hopefully she gets the hint and buys it for me

That's not very nice. You talk about replacing your girlfriend as you would about replacing your Altima.

I don't know Generic, you keep talking about the great weather in Hawaii, but two things I hated about Hawaii.... the rain... the humidity. Scenery is beatiful, but contrary to popular belief, San Diego has the best weather in the country, by far

Humidity isn't that bad as opposed to down south. We're usually around 60-65% in that department. And yes, it does rain pretty often, but that depends on the season and what part of the island you're on. I've lived here for most of my life so I'm just used to it. I do have to admit though, that when I lived in LA for two years, I loved the cool nights. What I hated about Cali was that smog I swear, my boogers would turn brownish/blackish when I picked my nose. Wait, did I just say that?

California smog is horrible, but not black as seen by the eye. There is a thick blanket that covers the city (Los Angeles). Perhaps we should listen more carefully to Al Gore...

I agree, for LA...That's why I said San Diego, not LA... you can damn near see the smog from Satellite over Los Angeles, and you can definately see it when you're driving into LA.... we don't have that smog problem in San Diego...that's why the weathery and scenery, IMO, is much better in San Diego than in LA...

Scenery wise, you can't beat Hawaii, but weather...hmmm... ok, I somehow turned an exhaust forum into a battle between paradise loacations... my apologies to everyone

thats is a bit pricey, but if it sounds anything like the sedan, then for me it's a definate buy... in the end it is all about personal preferance and $$ lol... I just know that, that mod is going to take me a while to get after I get my coupe...

I think this purchase will have to wait until tax return time. There is another benfit about being a technician, you can claim your tools, boots, etc on your taxes!!
