If Had my coupe in three times for failure to start, with flashing key symbol. I can unlock and lock car, thats it. Dealer and Nissan Canada Tech. don,t know why after 7 weeks. the car started some times amd then fails again. They have checked fob's changed battery, main computer, and steering wheel lock. As well they found no dielectric grease in door module plug(apperantly) tightened all terminals at fuse panel. I brought it home yesterday after three weeks in the shop and this morning it did not start, no rain or frost. I tried six times during the morning until at noon it decided to start. No one at West Coast Nissan would return my calls, I Talked to Morrey Nissan Dealer and they were very interested in looking at the vehicle and very helpful. I apparently have the only car like this in Canada.

Em I Alone ?

No problems here..

Only problem I had was when I went to pick up my car, the car wouldn't start. But it was because the battery was dead... So much for my $1300 in PDI (pre-delivery inspection) eh?

good luck w/ your car

I have the opposite problem. My car won't turn off without disconnecting the battery.

Hey Canuck I have the exact same Altima Coupe as you, with the black on black. I went to start my car yesterday (sat) and it wouldnt start. I tried everything, even jumping it and got no where. I am assuming it is the security feature but I don't know how it got like this. Any way, I am having the same probs. It won't start. Did you find out a solution? I am going to some how take my car to the dealership where I bought it and have them fix it.

Hey

Try checking the connection to the steering wheel lock module. Mine seemed to be a loose pin connection. If you are getting the steering wheel symbol on the in dash display showing you to move the steering wheel back and forth thats the area. Its right under the steering wheel colum axcess through the fuse cover at the lower left of driver side dash just give a good push to seat it properly, if not the module is probably gone.

Good Luck
