i'm doing a headunit install for a friend of mine and i was just wondering about the antenna adapter. the adapter has a blue wire and of course the motorola style plug. does the blue wire need to be hooked up to power something for use use of the factory antenna? do i use the remote turn on wire from the headunit?

The head unit should have a power antenna wire. Connect to this. Do NOT use the remote turn on wire and this is not intended to provide enough current and could damage the head unit. Without connecting to the power antenna wire, the radio will not work. It will be unable to tune stations.
