My car has about 37k on it. The car died on the HWY after driving it for about 200 miles. the gas pedal lost pressure and the electrical turned off. We pulled over to the side and got the car towed to the house. I attempted to jump start it, but no luck. When we try to turn it on, the RPM's jump to 1.5-2k for about 5 seconds and the car turns off. All the indicator lights turn on when the car is started.

-Car has about 1/3 gas in the tank.-Car normally had standard oil changes. that day my wife took the car to a local oil change (oil can henrys) and they recommended full syn, so she got that. and they recommended some kind of fuel or oil cleaner, which she threw in the tank upon full fill up.-i checked underneath the car and i don't see any leaks, and the filter is on tight.

I'm not sure what it might be?

That's what I was thinking... but then again, the car isnt that old... weird. I'm getting it towed to Nissan tomorrow, I hope it isnt anything too big.. strange how the car just died while driving though..

you can test the alternator yourself with a volt meter, charge the batt, start the car and read the batt volt, should be around 14.6-15V

looks like your outside your warranty but if you have done work at the dealer even if its just oil changes an maint. they can "good will" it for you with permission from nissan
