2008 2.5SL Engine smoothness?

I just purchased my 08 Nissan 2.5SL with Tech package, and I have around 1500 miles on it so far ( bought it 2 weeks ago ). I've driven it in all driving conditions, and I had a quick question. I came from a 1997 Jetta, 2.0L 4 cyl. 5spd. Thing when revving up to 5k+ was smooth as butter. Felt no engine vibration.

So, when I switch the engine over to the "manu-matic" CVT option, and drive the car around, I notice a decent amount of engine vibration. Not anything mechanically faulty, but definitely a vibration that I figured wouldn't be there on a brand new engine. Do any of you guys notice this at all? I just figured it would be butter smooth, but it just isn't. I wish I could explain better.

I absolutelY LOVE! my car... The nav has saved my butt numerous times already, and factory tinted windows with the spoiler and the black paint plain looks mean

its hard to diagnose what could cause a vibration or noise. im not sure if the 2.5 has them, but i know the 3.5L has electric motor mounts that are supposed to reduce a lot of vibration.
