I was just wondering if they make such a beast? If so, where and how much?

Thanks

probably slightly quicker, the 2.5 weighs 100 - 200lbs less.

2.5 L can be turbo charged to 350+ with forged internals, and since one is installing a turbo kit, might as well get those forged internals for extra pwning

I remember reading a while back that someone had found out that the 2.5 on the coupe was slightly different from the 2.5 on the SER. Is this not the case?

why would you buy a smaller engine just to turbo it? for the same if not less of the total cost you could have gotten a 3.5 and thrown some bolt-ons.

so just curious, why didnt you spend that 5 grand on the bigger engine right out the gate?

could have been they didnt want to pay more on insurance or if they are paying a note they may not have wanted to pay the higher note that would have come with the 5 grand extra on the bill. heh i personally got the 4 banger for the gas mileage. and only way i will turbo it is when the warranty on the engine is up. but it is nice to know that you CAN if you so happen to want to

because i didnt think that i could afford the 3.5 at the time and i could have...... but they have the same transmission for the cvt so i could have more boost on the 2.5 and it could be faster than the 3.5 cvt with a little less weight and stronger internals for a little more than the cost.

At the time i purchased my 2.5 i was drving a dodge neon with 134 hp. So 175 hp was a huge jump. And it was a huge jump. No slouch on the 2.5.

But somebody pulled in front of me and i hit them doing 65 mph. I was hurting sore and not thinking. i needed a new car asap.

I have now since gotten a better job making considerable more money than when i purchased the car. Therefore at the moment i could afford the 3.5.

But if i were to buy a new car, i dont think i would get another AC.

That sounds just like my story. I had a Toyota Echo before this (currently ranked #1 on Cardomain BTW) but I got rear ended by a city bus, then side-swiped by a minivan who was attempting to get out of the way of yet another city bus that swerved into his lane. The Echo was a writeoff and I needed another ride ASAP. The 2.5 was in my budget at that time, but shortly thereafter I got a few high paying contracts that would have enabled me to get a 3.5 had the accidents happened a few months later. Oh well...I love the highway mileage of the 2.5, it's got great torque, and the insurance is much cheaper for the 2.5 up here anyway!

...still, in a few years when the warranty runs out I'd love to supercharge it!
