Hello,

I am looking at purchasing a 2008 Altima coupe with 85k miles. I thought I would have to replace the timing belt at 90k miles but not I am reading that Altimas don't have timing belts.

What kind of repairs will I be looking at in the near future for this car? What general costs are expected as this model reaches this mileage? I expect an 08 Altima to go for a long time but am curious if expected repair costs will make it not worthwhile.

Thank you,
Li-

First, what trim and what is the asking price? 90K miles might not be in your best interest.

Thats a little steep in my opinion. I would not pursue the buy unless you can bring that down to $10K or less.

But to answer your original question, the "big" maintenance on the Altima Coupe comes in 60K mile intervals. As long as you get a maintenance record and the necessary maintenance was performed at 60K miles, you should not have much other to worry about but oil changes and the like for another 30K miles or so. Not many ACs are up to that mileage, there is a forum member here IBCoupe and he has the highest mileage that I can recall. Try to look him up and ask him.
