Hi, I have a 2007 Xterra that won't let me put gas in it. After extensive research, all indicators said it was the carbon filter. After an exhaustive process of finally getting the right filter, it still won't let me put fuel in the tank. Any suggestions? Any work rounds until I can finally get this nipped in the butt? I'm in Alaska where parts get flown in meaning $$$$ and time. I can't be playing musical parts

Thoughts? Thanx up front

Sound like your refueling control valve may be bad. This is a one way valve that connects the fuel tank to the EVAP Canister. It's purpose is to send vapors to the canister instead of the air when you are refueling. If it's plugged up it will not allow vapors to escape fast enough and cause the pump to shut off. You will need a technician familiar with evaporative emission systems to test and find out whats wrong.
