First of the season...

It handled great in the last snow storm of 2008. But this time, the Versa had to deal with 14F temperatures...

The start of the snow.

Versa after driving 22 miles (34km) to work in 14F (-10C) temperature. -- Notice I have icicles off my cargo carrier and underneath the front bumper.

Arctic air + No Clouds = VERY COLD!

I disagree, -10c is hardly beach weather lol Icicles hanging from car is proof enough of the cold. I'd go as far to say that he just might know what cold is because that is freezing cold! I don't see how he'll know what cold is if he give you a month, I'm thinking you'll know what cold is by that point lol!

I live in Scotland and the temp today is -20c with snow around at the moment 24 inch approx and will get worse over the next few days. My Tiida copes very well, not forgetting to drive with care and within the limits of the road conditions. One tip I did learn in Norway, Cut two pieces of old carpet about 18inches by 5ft, roll them up and stick them in the boot. Under the front wheels they will get you out of some nasty positions. One of those ex army fold up shovels is also worth having in the boot. If you do get snowed in and cant move your car, clear the exaust and run your car for 15 minutes to get some heat in the engine. Get the strength of your antifreeze mixture checked if you are in any doubt it could be weak. Don't let your car just sit there for days without attention or you may get a fright when try to start it up. Make sure you always have a full tank of fuel just in case you have to spend hours in a traffic jam because a truck has jack knifed or other such problems. Remember gently on the brakes and the throttle, a heavy foot and you are an accident looking for a place to happen.

frankoV how much snow you got over there? My brother said the temps where he is are horrible, with lots of snow cleaning/scrapping everyday ... So far no snow here :D Just a touch of freezing rain one morning last week, but other than that it has just been on the chilly side.

You asked about snow in Scotland, November we not normally see a lot of snow just a light dusting much like you see in the pictures above. December we would get anything from a few inches to a couple of feet depending where you live, all the ski runs are well covered, January and February are the worst months for snow. From November you can expect a lot of frost, if your car is outside it will need to be frost cleared every morning. Over the last few years the temp has dropped around 5 degrees and the heavy snow has now started in November. The scam of global warming has been well exposed in Scotland and England, few people now hang on to the global warming theory, conservation yes, global warming no. As I look out my window the snow is falling heavily so driving will be tricky again today. Main roads are gritted and salted constantly but it can be hard for them to keep up when there are heavy falls of snow. For some reason England which is south of us gets it worse and have many more problems. The problems occur because there is a heavier density of traffic and that means there are more drivers who do not know how to handle the conditions. Remember Gentle on the brakes and throttle and keep a good distance from the car in front. Your aim is always to get where you are going in one piece and forget how long it might take, take it slow and easy.
