Not as far as I know. My Sedan doesn't have many options ( ). The only options it came with was the Power Package, Splash Guards and Aluminum Kick Plates.MinisterofDOOM wrote:Does the Versa have an option for proximity-based locks (if the fob gets far enough away the car locks itself)?
Hey, don't you think for a minute that didn't cross my mind!matt_a wrote:Maybe your car knows something that you don't about your neighbors.
Could be - I'm trying to find something that is consistent when it locks. It has only done it 4 times in two months. One thing I do miss - my other cars would automatically lock after a few minutes of driving. Both my Frontier and Versa don't but my Chrysler and Ford do. That was a nice feature for security reasons.Ever Victorious wrote:There are several features about the keyless system that can be programmed in. The information is stored in the BCM. It's possible that when the dealer delivered it to you, they programmed a timed delay of some sort. I know my V locks its doors if I don't open one within a minute of unlocking them.
I really don't think so - but anything is possible. I started a new procedure (based on your suggestion). I walk in the house, drop my keys in my key tray, walk back outside and check the doors. We'll see.Ever Victorious wrote:Then I hate to suggest the obvious. Any possibility you accidentally leaned on the key fob and hit the lock button? I did that the other day with my panic button...
LOL...that reminds me of something that happened when my son was a baby. We were sitting in a restaurant with my parents when I noticed that my mother had given my son her keys to play with (remote and all). I got currious, so I walked outside. Sure enough....the trunk to their Buick was wide open.Ever Victorious wrote:Then I hate to suggest the obvious. Any possibility you accidentally leaned on the key fob and hit the lock button? You are kidding - right?br4dysays wrote:i experienced this today!
i was standing behind my V talking to a friend and i heard something similar to me unlocking a door or something and then when i went over it was locked and i know i didnt lock it.
weird, i dont mind but still weird.
Because the confirms my problem.br4dysays wrote:i dont believe so, why?
Thanks for the info. I agree - it really isn't a problem. Actually, it is a great feature. In my case - I just never know when they will lock.KimberKenobi wrote:My doors routinely lock themselves if the car is unlocked but a door is not opened... I religiously press my lock button when I get out and have not noticed this problem when I'm leaving my car. (though I wouldn't consider it a problem...)
