So, I went to start it......CLICK CLICK! Had a problem in the morning and when I went to drive it in the evening, the starter would not turn over.
I called a couple of places that were open on Sunday and it looks like it's a "dealer" only item! TY TY....
Again......... another problem to add to the list!

:wtf2:

Sounds like Murphy's Law strikes again! Sorry to hear about your issues. Reminds me of my last car, put new tires on it, spent some time to clean it up wash/wax and some minor cosmetics on some small scratches. I even had it serviced gave it the once over as I was getting it ready to sell.. out of the blue the engine goes on me. The sheer frustration and the amount of $ laid out all pissed away. All I could do was trade it before it had to be towed. Although having said that my last car was a ford and at the time was 9 years old, looked great for it's age and in the opinion of at least 3 mechanics was in excellent mechanical shape.

So, are you saying that with a car with so few miles on it ( ;) ) you don't think it should have any problems? No, we haven't had the starter go out on any of our three Versas, but I haven't been surprised to replace one on other cars I've had when I got a few miles on them.

I would normally agree with you but I have had many small problems with this car. Some that I just shake my head at. I guess I am working out the "bugs"...lol

I fixed it this morning. Very easy started to change. Took me about 40 mins and I got one from the wercker for $75 tax in.
Hopefully nothing else goes wrong for a while.

Bummer about the starter, you don't see many failing this early on any type of car but it does happen on all makes. Not unique to the Versa. At least Nissan got something right and designed it to be easy to replace.

On the Toyota Tundra I own, the starter is buried under the intake manifold. Parts and labor on that one is expensive.
