So my wife's 2007 Versa is a great little car and we get free inspections from the stealership so we usually go there. Last time it was the right ball joint, so I ended up replacing both lower control arms with ball joins, pretty simple job.

Now they are saying the problem is 1 bushing in the front suspension cross member and that the whole thing needs to be replaced.

I can replace this and have found it for about $450 but was wondering if there were any better ideas out there of just the bushing, or maybe it's a typical ploy from the stealership to get $1200 from people.

I also have the same problem it all started with a clunking sound under the suspension, I have change Lower arm, Shocks, strut cap, engine mount, But still there. The mechanics best guess is this cross member bushing.. it have to be machined out to remove and replaced otherwise go with the full assembly which cost alot.. Too bad for us nissan owners
