Hi,
I have a 2007 Altima sedan. I continually have brake squeaking problems.
At 45,000 miles I replaced the brake pads with the best Wagner pads. The only reason I changed them was because of squeaking. I had a shop do it and they recommended not to turn the rotors so we didn't. One month later they were squeaking again but worse than before.
At 62,000 miles I took it to an unnamed brake shop. They replaced the pads again (rotors turned this time) and told me the front squeaking was because the hardware needed replaced because it had a little rust on it ( thought it was a bogus attempt to sell hardware). They told me the rears were squeaking because the calipers needed rebuilt. They said the inboard pad was a little more worn than the outboard. I told them no.
I talked to a mechanic and he said that the rear pads are always a little more worn on the inboard pad.
Three days now since the pads were replaced again and the rears are back to squeaking again.
They are driving me nuts and don't know what to do to fix it.
Please give advise. Thanks!!!
