Hello all,
I have a 2007 Nissan Quest with the re5f22a tranny. I replaced it with another used tranny that is a direct fit. I am wondering if the ECM need to be flashed... The battery was disconnected for a couple days so I suspect that would reset it but read something about having the dealership flash it after a transmission replacement.

It seems like it went through a learning phase with a few rough shifts and strange down shifts. Now it seems to shift fine but on two occasions I have noticed a hard 4-5 upshift.

Thanks!

I would recommend downloading the FSM from this site and reading the section on AT repairs. Or you can ask the dealer service department, and if they do not give you a satisfactory answer, call Nissan. HTH.

X2, the FSM will detail that type of thing in 'replace the trans' section.

Your new trans may have a fault...............the 4-5 thing. Common when they are swapped as entire units.
