The story:Location- Directly in front of vice presidents house D.C.Cars- boxer vs. g35transmissions- manual

The light turns green, and both tires burnout. The porsche's engine is loud as s#it and we rip through 1st gear and both hit 2nd at the same time. Tires in 2nd screech and we fly down the road. at 50 we are still literally neck and neck with the entire freakin street exploding with noise. No one was in front of us and the speed was risky, but all the more rush and challenging. We hit 3rd about the same time and I swear...still no difference. My girl was in the car with me and I don't have my intakes are exhaust yet, so maybe I could have pulled away if she was at least at home. 0 -90 and nada. I thought the boxer was slow, but maybe the type s has mega balls? That was a massive rush, loud and crazy. My girl was so excited and thought it was soo much fun. When we pulled up at the light he looked over with a WTF expression and gave me thumbs up. I smiled and that was it. We both had a massive rush and went on our merry ways. That was my first race with a high end car and probably keeping the rest to the country and highway. The G was fantastic. I hit the redline each gear and I even barked the tires going into 3rd. I am running falken FK 452'S which may have helped slightly.

I looked up the boxer just now and no ****..it has mega balls. Not to pat myself on my back or anything but I never missed a gear and he had no lead anytime on me from 0-90...amazing.

left is manual/right is auto

sweet! just curious, i am a noob to manual shift, even though my car is manual. when dropping the clutch when racing, how would i go about doing that? should i get the RPMS to around 2000 and then just completely let go of the clutch? or do i have to ease it out or what. i was never taught how to drive one, i just taught myself. also, if the tires lose traction when you change gears at high RPMs, does that mean you let go of the clutch to early? or is that supposed to happen?

if the tires break free while shifting , it just means you clutched kicked.. or in lamens terms

Too much power for the tires to grip,

Lets say your going at 6k ... and you hit the gas and clutch then let go of the clutch and you will be at close to 7-9k RPM , drop the clutch the tires are still at around 5500 so bam .... it "KICKS" the tires to losing grip...

Only time clutch kicking is good is for drifting

07 sedans are supposed to be 0-60 in 5.2 main part of the reason I bought one. Mine is the auto but it chirps the tires 90% of the time on the 1-2 shift. DS mode it chirps or scratches them 100% of the time.

I'm going shorter and fatter on tires next time so hopefully I'll be sub5s and no noise LOL

anytime you want to burn a wheel you have to consider a few things. If you are stopped obviously you give it a ton of gas and then pull the clutch out faster or slower. The faster you pull the clutch you get a quicker burn. If you are moving at 30 and drop to 2nd and slam the gas and pop the clutch fast you will also get a burn.

The boxer was super fast..he was givin his all and my girlfriend told me to report that I was never behind him always just slightly ahead.by about 2-5 inches or so...so I guess I won.
