I have a 2007 Nissan Versa. I am beginning to have a regular issue getting the car to start. The battery is fully charged, Starter truns the engine with no issues but it acts like it is not getting any gas. When this happens you see a warning light on below the speedometer, small red car with a black key image in the middle. Any Ideas?

Thanks

it sounds like you have an fuel pressure regulator that has failed and need to be replaced, loooong cranking correct? This is a common problem with 07-09 Versa's

the light with the car and a black key is telling you that it isn't registering your key if it stays red if it turns green then you have no issue there.

With a leaking fuel pressure regulator when you get in the car turn the ignition ON without starting, wait five seconds, then activate the starter. As soon as I get in I turn the ignition ON then I hook up my seat belt and then engage the starter. This gives the fuel pump a chance to build the fuel pressure up.
