2007 nissan versa

New to this site,but was interested in joining in forum,had a driver dooor handle issue and the link brought me to a very helpful bunch of people who helped me fix the problem,many thanks to the people who help resolve these issues,like everything else on this car i have used computer to find out how to fix a multitude of issues ive had with this car and have been able to handle myself instead of pouring thousands more into nissans pockets,they are a joke they should be ashamed claiming the dollar amounts they want to charge to fix all there plastic crap on this car,so a quick history on our 2007 versa which has always been maintained religiously by the dealer itself,which still amuses me that simple things like oil changes they use the cheapest crude oil,not even a synthetic blend,my lawn mower uses synthetic blended oils i thought all these modern engines were designed with at least synthetic blends in mind.so three engines and two transmitions later it is running again,just got to 100,000 miles and already had all these problems which nissan themselves replaced each time,not to mention hasnt had hub caps since the first 6 months we owned it,really a shocker that plastic tabs that hold them on would break,that should of been the first clue of things to come.needless to say am not at all impressed with this vehicle its one thing after another not to mention all the little things like rattles,and overall plastic disasters all over the car,we still own the vehicle and are storing it for our daughters first car,if it still runs then,cause its value for trade in was about the same as a 1978 ford pinto,and are now proud owners of a new ford fusion,a vehicle i have alot more faith in than this nissan,and the company actually stands behind there products,mainly cause ford still builds quality products and leaves the plastics for the other guys,not trying to be a basher,but this car has been a real huge dissapointment and other family members who owned nissans have also parted with them and purchased ford vehicles.We will not deal with this company again,and sadly because of the absolute lack of responsibility on there part for knowing these issues are real and not taking responsibility we will not ever recommend these vehicles or nissan to anyone we care to stay associated with.

Sorry to hear you had such problems - we've had none with two 2007's and a 2008, each of which made it over 100k miles with no engine or transmission problems. So far so good on the 2012, too. Of course, all were SL's, which does make a difference on the trim, and they don't have hubcaps!

It's funny how everyone, including me, makes generalizations about car companies based on owning one car. My first was a Subaru, and I had so many problems with it that I swore off foreign cars for over 20 years! My wife and I each had Fords, too, and said we'd never own another. But I'm sure Subaru and Ford both make good cars as well as lemons. Hopefully your Fusion will be one of the good ones.
