mine is mounted in the trunk on a peice of mdf that is screwed into the floor at an angle so that you can see it. is this for asubwoofer or for speakers? If it's for speakers, you can put it under a seat, I just don'tlike it there because it gets kicked around. If its for a sub, then you can also mount it on the sub box with some short screws so you don't puncture the box.

i'll try to get a pic up later today, and yeah, there isn't very much to mount it on the back of the seats.. That is the first place I wanted it to go. You could take out that little panel and screw a piece of mdf onto it, and then put the amp on that.. I might try it myself.

I will take pictures tomorrow and get them up. The amp/sub looks pretty clean, but now I want to make a custom enclosure in the spare tire well. The only thing holding me back is that $80 ported enclosure I bought... haha

Do NOT mount it to the seat.

I'd recommend under a front seat, or better yet, under the rear seat.

I did this and screwed it to the back of the rear seats.

Here's my whole setup. I wanted to do a video on my car anyways so I figured I'd just put it in here instead of doing pics.

For a sedan, why couldn't you mount it under the package shelf? Or on the side interior wall of the trunk?

I didn't mount mine to the roof of the trunk or to the side for a couple reasons. For one, I wanted it to be visable for people to see. Two, the side wall is just a very flimsy piece of carpet and insulation which wouldn't hold up an amp very well. Three, I ran out of power cable and I had to put it close to where the cable goes into the trunk.

ii was thinkin about taking the floor panel out and shaping mdf to the shape of the carpet so it fits perfect. and cut the mdf somewhere and place hinges on it so it opens and closes like a door and mount it underneath that so its not visible. what you guys think?

Sounds like a lot of work.

I just bought and cut a piece of 3/4" MDF to fit my amp and distribution block. The back seat has metal rails that runs from top to bottom so place the MDF on the back of the back seat and drill right into the metal rail. can you feel it if you fold the seat down and press down on the back, or just unzip the seat cover and you can see it. After, I carpeted the MDF and used some long screws and screwed right into the MDF and into the back of the back seat. I then mounted the amp to the MDF and done.
