I bought this Titan that had just been run into a concrete light pole. All damage was dead center and pushed back to the fan. Head lights didn't even get hit. But there was considerable damage. I had to replace front bumper, front frame cross member, radiator support and all components, and hood. That's just on the outside. Inside both air bags blew, and that destroys the dash and windshield. So needed new dash cover with passenger air bag, new steering wheel air bag, had to send air bag module out to be cleared and both front seat belts had to be rebuilt. The air bag module is located under the center console so that had to be removed. EVERYTHING on the dash has to come out to remove The dash . Pretty good job. Good thing is I got ALL the parts to repair for about $250 at the pull and pay. That's everything except the windshield. The truck is awesome and very clean. Dark Red with Black leather interior. Really good looking truck. And runs like a top. Waiting for my seat belts and module to come back and I can finish it. Somebody said there is a certain order that I need to replace the air bag system. Any body know about that??

There's no order of replacement, but be aware that the connectors don't always survive a deployment, especially the ones for the driver's bag. Those are actually part of the spiral cable, so if you get driver's bag codes with the new bag, chances are the spiral is trashed. Also be aware that the little lift-locks on top of the connectors aren't just locks, they also push open the shorting circuit which protects the Bag Brain from static discharge when it's unconnected. So if you get any persistent open/short circuit codes, inspect the locks and make sure they're intact.

Yeah, the connectors on both bags were melted and had to be changed, one of the seat belt connectors broke when I took it out. ordered a new one. I just read someplace that there was an order to reinstall the components, that's why I asked. It said to put bags in first , then the module. which if battery is disconnected, I don't see would matter.

Do you think I should change the clockspring or just put new connectors?

It doesn't. Maybe on some other make, but not any Nissan product that I'm aware of.

If the connectors melted then there's a real good chance the spiral is trashed. I'd just replace it and be done with it.

Been looking for a new clockspring. Very difficult to find. Dealership and part store only sell the whole assy. Turn signal switch , wiper switch and clock spring. They call it a multi function switch. Nissan has it listed for $425-$475. Orielly's wants $500+. AND, with the options on my truck, my part # 25560-HZ31A, is not available anywhere in USA. There's other versions, but not mine. Another possibility is just replacing the clock spring, BUT, the only one's available are eBay one's. Nobody sells just the clock spring. So, my options are, just replace the plugs and hope for the best OR put a Chinese eBay clock spring in, what do you think???

It should be a ZH31A and not HZ31A, but the switch stalks on those are interchangeable. I think yours is expensive because of the fogs, but I don't think the '07's came with a heated wheel option, so you should be able to buy the cheapest one available and just swap the stalks. It will only cost you $30 to find out, there are plenty on eBay.

Yeah i meant zh31a. Typo. I found one thru a Nissan dealer, It really hurt my feelings. $475. But I went for it. I didn't want a eBay clock spring. I've bought them before and they suck. This was the most expensive part I've bought for the truck, I'm still crying.
