I have a 2007 Nissan pathfinder. two days ago i went to start it and it delayed but eventually started. It was as though it wasn't getting gas. Then as i drove a short distance i noticed several dash lights came up and never came on......the abs.brake, vdc and slip off light. Also my inside signal indicator was not working but the lights were were working outside of the vehicle. The horn stop working also and a/c stop cooling. Also the ses light is not illuminated in ignition on position. I reached my destination and shut off the vehicle thinking a reset would be good. When coming back in the vehicle it would not start. I ended up having to have it towed after several tries. Also my front wind shield wipers were not working but rear were. And the gauges started to fluctuate.oh and i also had a bit of a sluggish take off. I carried it to a mechanic but they have no clue. Can you help me? I checked all the fuses under hood and in the car. A But can you give me some answers please

Thanny it sounds like you might have a harness issue on the column. With that many lights on and wipers in the equation I'd put money on the column wiring. It also sounds like your missing an ignition or accessory wire not powering up. Any chance you have a remote start installed?

If you plan on digging into it yourself and want to check the harnesses I'd start with taking down the under dash panel below the steering wheel and any metal brackets under the plastic. Those brackets can be real sharp and, speaking from experience, you can easily get a few stitches from it. Start with the harness coming from the key cylinder and follow it down looking for an breaks and/or nicks that may be grounding out. Then take a look at the harnesses coming down from the steering wheel looking for the same type of damage. If you don't see anything obvious then it's time to break out a meter and start testing. I can help you there if you want. Pm me and I will give you my cell and email if you want wiring sheets. I've been doing automotive electronics for over 20 years so I will help you as best I can. Just let me know how far your willing to go yourself and I will help.

Hi I did some troubleshoot and investigated the code faults I was getting is u1000 which I understand to be a communication fault. I then went into the symptoms I experience especially the the no SES light. I feel its the ecm. I want to buy a used one. But here's the thing I will like to the proper procedure to install....so I won't blow it or anything else. And I want to know if I purchase a used ecm will it have to be programmed....or can it just be installed....I'm aware that I have to purchase one with the same specs of my nissan pathfinder. But does that mean it can just be installed and used?

Any ECM will have to have your keys reprogrammed to match the new one, but otherwise it should be a drop-in replacement.
