Hi, I'm new here and was referred here by a Friend. If anyone can help, I'd be more than grateful. (and willing to compensate for the solution).

I have a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder.
Today when I got out of the car and locked it, the passenger side window lowered all the way down.
When I turned the car back on, the passenger side window would not go up. It was stuck in a down position.

My first thought was the motor went bad, or there was a problem with the track.
I pressed the buttons and did not hear any clicks, nor did I hear the motor trying to run when pressing the buttons. It was completely silent.

When I pressed the window button on the passenger side I could neither raise the window or lower the passenger side window. It was dead.
I tried to raise/lower the passenger side window using the drivers side switch and that didn't work either.

The drivers side switches open and close all of the windows except the passenger side window.
The passenger side lock and unlock button work just fine.

In order to test the motor, I took off the door molding and got access to the window motor. Using a 12 volt battery, I was able to put 12 volts to the window motor and the window went up ruling out the motor being bad.

Questions:
1. Is there a fuse somewhere that operates the passenger side window, and if so where can I find it?
2. I was thinking the passenger side switch went bad, but the window would not rise/lower using the drivers side switch as well. Could this be the drivers side switch that went bad?

Any suggestions on what this could be and the solution. Any information would be much appreciated.

Welcome to NICO.

On page GW-29 of the factory service manual, there is a trouble diagnosis for your symptom - Front power window RH alone does not operate. Try following it as best as you can - it looks like it involves a lot of tedious verification involving a multimeter.

Had the same problem a cpl years ago. To keep it simple and e z for you it ended up being my driver side switch cluster.
Went to the junk yard, found my yr Pathi, swapped the clusters, and walla.. windows back working again. Looked as though 1 of the switch's shorted from driving w/ my window rolled down a little in the rain..more than once. My bad..im a smoker.

Thank you! I went ahead and ordered one (driver side switch) waiting for it to come in. Hopefully that will be the issue!

My 01 Pathfinder passenger switch stopped working on the drivers side. The switch at the passenger door worked so I knew the window motor and electronics were ok, so I suspected a bad switch on the drivers door switch assy. I got a used switch from ebay for $37. I replaced the switch assy and all worked OK.

Here is a little detail if you're interested. To get the switch assy out of the door, you gently pry up the entire assy with your fingers. You pull the plastic that the switch assy is mounted in. (NOTE DO NOT attempt to pry the wood grained bezel. That is the wrong way and all you'll do is break it. ) It should pop out with a slight effort. There are no screws. When you get it off, there are two connectors. A small and large. Do the small first. Make sure you push the tab in all the way with a screwdriver and then pull the connector off. Then you can reach the tab for the big connector. It's almost hidden, but it's there.

I took my bad switch assy apart and discovered what broke. There is a tiny plastic pin that protrudes out of the actual switch. This slides back and forth when you operate the switch with the rocker as you normally do. In my switch, the pin broke off. I could imagine either gluing the pin back (probably would not work well) or somehow clipping off a section of a small safety pin and heating it up and melting it into the area where the pin broke off. Maybe I'll do that next time.

The good news is that you can unsolder the other good switch from the old bad assy and replace the next one that breaks. I tried getting the circuit board out and it seemed like I'd break something, so I will wait until I have to to really try to get it out.
