Transmission was replaced at 70,188 miles, now the car has 131,00 out of CVT warranty and the transmission needs to be replaced again. This time they replaced my transmission and cannot get the TCM to program to the main control. That is what they are telling me. They have been having my car for 7 wks now and still not done. Can anyone tell me anything about programming the TCM to the main panel.

Is the CVT that was installed new or re-manufactured? Is Nissan using your old TCM or was it replaced too? Aside from my questions, I think you already realize this but based on your car's model year and mileage. You're simply better off trading your Altima in for a new(er) vehicle at this point. It's senseless to replace the CVT at 130k miles at your own cost. Especially if Nissan isn't able to figure out why your TCM isn't programming properly after 7 weeks.

They finally got everything programmed and I get a phone call yesterday saying that they took it for a run and now it is sputtering. Something is not adding up. Why would it be sputtering now. I have thought about trading it in but after all the money I have put into it at this point I am not sure I can do that at this time. I may have to keep it for about another year. I am just confused at this point on what can be going on with it. It ran perfect and I loved my car up to this point.
