WOW!

They finally updated the site about ViR! I checked at the end of July and was shocked they had nothing up yet, just the dates. Hotels are pretty much sold out before they even updated their site, go figure. I got my room though

I will be there, but for the Grand-Am racing part of it. Hopefully, I will be able to help with the PA / Webcast broadcast again this year through the Grand-Am folks. I was allowed to spend quite a bit of time on the air waves last year. Sput

Help me out with this one, please.

What are the dates? Cost? I don't see anything on the site we are referred to that gives me this information.

It's under the tab that says "tickets". Here's the direct link:http://www.gtlivetour.com/tickets.html

Tickets are $40 for the weekend. Additional costs if you want to participate in any events, such as Tarzan's Lap Battle.

For additional event pricing, you have to click on the attractions tab, then click on the event you want more info about. It will explain in more depth the pricing of that particular event.

Dates are Oct. 5-7th, 2007.

Hi fellas, I just bought my tickets online for the 3 day GT Live event and I also registered for Tarzan's lap battle. The tickets for all 3 days were only 35 dollars with a discount from the Mazda Owners Club Tarzan's Lab battle was only 50 dollars and it is a BLAST!! My friend did it last year in a 2005 WRX STI and he got me to go this year with my 350Z. I hope us Nissan owners come out in force and represent this year. This is a great event you do not want to miss.

You should have hung out with us. A "nico member" doesn't necessarily mean you are a member of the forums. It simply means you are a Nissan enthusiast.

Other than hanging out with the coolest people in the world, there are only a couple other things that are "benefits" at VIR. One is, last year we had the go-cart track reserved for NICO-only for an hour. Everyone else had to wait and watch while Nico owned the track for a solid hour. That was fun.

Also, Saturday night last year, we all went out to eat together. That was good fun.

hey guys...new to this site, but so far so good.

I have registered for the Tarzan Lap Battles as well so its nice to see some others doing the same. I think there is limited space sign up quickly!

anyone from last year know how the lap battles actually worked. do we get warm up laps? or is it like autox where you get one run at a time? I know its on the Patriot course so I have no clue what times we will be turning. South/North course I have ran several times, never ran Patriot. Should be a blast regardless, I am so excited already about this event!!!

There are no warm up laps, you run one at a time and I believe my friend was getting 2min 18sec in his WRX STI. You have time for about 7-8 laps to get your best time. The patriot course is about a mile long. The deadline to register is Tomorrow the 25th. I am registered for Saturday but I might do it Sunday as well. I am waiting for my helmet to come in this week. See you there!!

AWWW, no warm up is not going to be much fun. I was hoping maybe they did 5 min. run sessions in groups of 3 or something like that. My brakes and tires suck when cold!!!! if you see me on the skid pad doing 360's don't ask

saw this on another site......

Boxer4Racing competed in the 2006 GTLive "Tarzan's Lap Battle" on the Patriot Course of VIR. This unique event also gave us the opportunity to allow Tarzan Yamada to take a lap in our car. We are proud to report that our driver (Steven Rankins) was able to best Yamada by 8/10ths of a second on this 53 second course

thats fast!!!

Damn, if the hatch was running perfect and I had the extra cash I would enter the Time Attack. I'll be spectating though. Hope to see all my fellow Nico-heads there!
